Day 17 – Co, UT (10/12)

Drove through Western CO to Utah, stopping off to see if I could get into the Arches National Park to see more rocks. Got to Arches around 6PM to dodge crowds: Strongly recommend checking out Arches, it’s busy, but worth seeing. Spending the next day around Salt Lake City before heading up into Wyoming.

Day 16 – Boulder, CO (10/11)

Started the day by checking out the Flatirons and Royal Arch in Boulder. The trails around here are really good. Royal Arch: View from the Arch: Flatirons: Downtown Boulder: Boulder Canyon on the way home: On to Utah tomorrow.

Day 15 – NE, CO (10/10)

Spent the majority of the day in Western South Dakota. Went to Mt. Rushmore, Crazy Horse, the Badlands, and then drove down into rural Nebraska to find a campsite closer to Colorado, because I decided last-minute to add Boulder, CO to the itinerary. Day 12 – MN, ND (10/7)

Day 10 – Iowa (10/5)

Left Chicago to drive West through Iowa. Not much to include here because thew whole of Iowa looks like this from the interstate: The worlds largest truckstop apparently. Was so big it had an on-site dentist so I’ll take their word for it. Campsite was pretty nice though:

Spent the whole day in Michigan. Drove up from just above Lansing, MI to Sleeping Bear Dunes National Park.
